Clutch Cargo’s is an old church converted into a club/concert venue, its capacity is limited but it’s intimate and you are about 150 feet or so from the stage when standing at the back. The balcony wraps around the inside of the venue looking down on the stage and crowd, I was standing at the back and still had a clear view of the stage. There were two bars, all beers were $5 which wasn’t too bad for a concert, considering your there for the music! Staff were courteous and even let me go outside to hand tickets for my friends who decided to arrive late. Franz Ferdinand rocked (I know it’s chliche’ ; but it’s true!) lead singer Alex Kapranos vocals were just as if you were listening to one of their C.D’s a great selection of songs from their first two album’s along with some great new tracks from their latest one “Tonight”. My favourites on the night were “Bite Hard”, “Ulssyes”, “No you girls”, “What she came for”, “This Boy”, along with the ever popular “Do you want to” and “Take me out”. These blokes are what Brit Rock is all about, their energy on stage (especially the bouncing Kapranos!) was awesome and they really engaged with the crowd, a fantastic live act. I will definitely watch these guys again live...they're the business. I have tickets for all other cities
